changing status from Final Approved for prod to Prod after manual import

I have a query on Solution Manager:

We have a change document with a transport request and that has been already approved for production status "Final Approved for Production" as its a BW change document the transport was imported manually to production.

I tried to do the following - run the solman service report to change it to Next status (Production), when in Test mode is list output only "ticked" i see all green but when i try to implement the changes i get the following in red No changes possible in document.

There's a workaround:

Delete the transport request from the buffer and run the change document then the status to production and put the transport back in the queue.

Is there any other way in which we can achieve this in Solution manager itself?
