Hello everybody, how you doing?

i wish you can help me out...or maybe clear my concerns....well this is the fact.

we're running SAP 6.0 we have 3 servers, productive, quality and development...and we're running netweaver 7.00 Lv. 22

we're trying to upgrade SQL 2005 to 2008... and I have been requested to upgrade our netweaver version to 7.01 maybebut can't figure out how to...

i have been rolling over the MP and found on the download area there was netweaver 7.0 and 7.3 is is possible to go from .1 to .3 ??

are there any restrictions or thing i must be aware of??

sorry if I ask to much in one post, but I'm new into this basis thing..so I'll keep asking if you don't mind

Hello Jesus,

You have a lot of work

Start reading some documentation:

For the database upgrade, check: Note 1152240 - Setting Up Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (R2)

For the upgrade, check the corresponding upgrade guide at http://service.sap.com/instguides

For Product compatibility, check the Product Availability Matrix at http://service.sap.com/pam

Cheers,

Diego.

sorry for not replying before..i started reading and got to the point that the SR and EhP are a compillation of support packages.....here's the thing now, how can i know if my current versions meet the same as SR or EhP??

i mean I'm running right now SAP_BASIS 700 Lv.22 I don't know if this match with any EhP or SR ...

is there possible to check if they match?

i need to meet NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 or NetWeaver 7.0 EhP 1 SR1

how can i know if I'm ok with this?

Hello Jesus,

Check this note: Note 789220 - Support Package levels for Netweaver installations/upgrades

And compare with the components installed in your system.

Diego.

Diego thanks for the response...i have reviewed the note and as far as I understand we have netweaver 7.0 SR3

as the note says SR3 contains:

SAP_BASIS 700 Lv14

SAP_ABA 700 Lv14

SAP_BW 700 Lv14

PI_BASIS 700 Lv16

and I have installed on my system

SAP_BASIS 700 Lv22

SAP_ABA 700 Lv22

SAP_BW 700 Lv24

PI_BASIS 700 Lv22

am I right??

sorry for such silly questions, but I am still learning and I need to be sure of what I am learning

Hello,

SR3 is equivalent to SPS 14. I guess you have SPS 22. Have a look at http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 -> chose the stack and "Show SP stack content".

Cheers,

Diego.

good looks like you're right We're on SPS 22

now here comes the next question....

how can i check wich SR is SPS 22 like you did with SR3 = SPS 14 ??

is there a table or something i can check,to match SR vs SPS ??
