Hi,

the biggest disadvantage of the File adapter is tht it cannot understand the hierarchy.It always produce the output in a single line.It cannot produce the output in Hierarchy format

File adapter can only work with the transport acknowledgments so it cannot/should not be used with application acknowledgments. The file adapter's acknowledgments can be requested if you're using a BPM (integration process) so you cannot request them if you have a simple flow (except if your use proxies) -

in which you're not using any integration process.

2. what are the limitations of file adapter ?

If your still looking for SFTP support, you may check seeburger adapters - which offer sftp together with an extensive scheduling mechanism.

Hi,

Added to Moorthy's comments yes there is no good scheduling mechanism in File adapter as of now, but you can very well use Redwood scheduler.
