We have a good number of Punch-out catalogs active in our system. Some of these catalogs are with electrical component suppliers that have unit prices that are less then a penny USD. When this comes into our system it rounds to the nearest penny so in the case of $0.004 it would come in as $0.00. This is causing issues for us and we would like to figure out a way to deal with it.
Currently we are trying to figure out a way to deal with this systematically and I was hoping for some feedback from other SRM users. We have thought about having the suppliers use the priceunit field and then pass that back to us in the OCI return. Other ideas being tossed around involve just rounding up to a penny but that seems sort of problematic.
Any feedback on how others deal with this issue would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt Clark
Hello Mathew,
a workaround could be to deactivate SAP standard BAdI implementation BBP_NEXT_VALID_VALUE through IMG:
SAP Implementation Guide > SAP Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Business Add-Ins > Rounding of Quantity Fields.

You can set the Round off value for decimal points. In that way your business requirement can be catered.

Hi,
You can round out the decimal places both in the catalog and in the shopping cart to 3 decimals
and in the backend system -ECC 6.0 also the same decimals ,thereby you can avoid the issues.
We have done this for one of our client
