Source inspection

Hi Gurus,

To generate inspection type 07 lot for souce inspection,QIR and PO created after 07 insp type maintained in Material.But while running QI07 the generated lot is of 01 inspection type.Why it is happenning.

To start with ,07 inspetion type is for audit inspection and lot is not created against PO ,Its always manual Inspection lot through QA01.

Now follow steps for source inspection

1. Maintain QM-info record for Material-vendor-Plant combination. While creating QM-info record under "Source inspection" maintain Inspection type which you have activated for Goods receipt in" Insp.Type: Source In"

activate 01/0130 inspection type in QI01 against source inspection.

2. After PO creation , go to QI07 & release the insp. lot.

hi,

Correct ! 07 is used for Audit inspection not for Source inspection against PO. for PO inspection type 01/0101/0103.

Oh thanks..it means we can can create lot for ins type 07 by QA01 mannualy only and by t-code QI07 only 01/130/101 ins type lot would be generated??am i right??Pls explain so that my concept would be clear..

>yes --->Provided that you make setting related to "Source inspection " In Quality Info record. You have to enter either of these inspection type in Quality info record for source inspection and In QM view as well.

Hi please create a fresh PO it ll work. The existing Po will not get updated for source inspection if it is done after the PO creation.

Tried but still lot is creating of 01 inspection type not 07...while executing QI07.
