Error, cannot create a DMS doc

Hello Guru,

One of our user is having an error when trying to create a SAP Easy DMS document. he cannot create a document with error "Class Type 017, object type DRAW, object T029999-0001"

how can we solve this so that the user can create a document.

Hello,

First check whether the user can create a document using CV01N. This should give an initial idea regarding authorization errors using SU53.

Hello Guru,

thank you for all who help and shared their inputs and knowledge on the issue. I have now found out the root cause of the issue. The user had a wrong inputs in one of the field when creating a Easy DMS doc. Saw it when they provided me the screenshot.

For the user in question,ensure that your Basis guys have assigned authorization for both classes 017(doc mgmt) and 201(configurable items) in order to create DIR's in easyDMS.

Hi,

You need to check the following

1) Whether user has appropriate authorization. Check Su53 for missing authorization when the user gets this error message

2) Check whether valuess in all the fields for characteristics within object DRAW for class 017 has been maintained.
