Hello,

You just need to apply the 10.2.0.5 patchset in your source system.

Check the following note:

[871735 Current patch set for Oracle 10.2.0|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/871735]

Hi majamil,

Your target is higher than source, what you need to do is download patchset 10.2.0.5 and patch it.

service.sap.com -> software downloads -> Database Patches -> oracle -> oracle 10.2 Software (x bit) -> select your OS -> Download oracle RDBMS Patch 10.2.0.5

I would strongly advise you patch to latest SBP or patches to latest level using MOPatch / OPatch.

Cheers,

Nicholas Chang

Why u need to move binaries from source to target since your targer is 10.2.0.5?? basically you just need to patch your target to the same patches as source.

Dear,

actually, i am getting Oracle error ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon deniedBR0310E Connect to database instance TVS failed in trace of work process. Eric's reply against of my post ORA-00205: error in identifying control file

Your Oracle instance is crashing because the DB binaries do not match the DB instance.
downgrade your Oracle binaries to 10.2.0.4 as in your original system, then try to startup your instance and recover it. it should now work.
when this is completes, upgrade it to 10.2.0.5.

Hi,

To resolve invalid username issue, have you try to run sapdba.sql and change SAP schema password as suggested in your previous post?

i dont think you can just move the binaries for Windows system. Why not you just perform the restore and recovery again as both target and source are in same patchset version now, where you don't need to roll back your target patchset, and upgrade to 10.2.0.5 once more.

Cheers,

Nicholas Chang
