Hi guys,
I know one can create Idocs for Pricat with both transactions.
But what is the difference between VPRICAT and VPRE
and why do we need 2 transactions?
Regards
Hello Dieter,
As per the information available on the internet,
VPRICAT has a system called Engineering Change Management that allows you to update prices in your catalog automatically when a price has changed.
From SAP it toolbox
"I've found elsewhere on the net is the existence of a transaction to manually generate an on-demand pricing catalog and transfer it through the PRICAT IDoc to another system=2E The transaction to do this is VPRE and is much more user-friendly than VPRICAT, but it does not allow you to take advantage of engineering change management as is possible in VPRICAT=2E"
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
MR
