Returnable Packaging

Dear All

We have a scenario where my client has some decorative items which they give to their customer for some period of time and when customer returns it they charge for the same as rent. I guess this kind of scenario is perfectly mapped with Reurnable Packaging material.

In one of the post i saw the suggestion was to create two diffrent materials one as taking material type FERT(finished ) and one as VERP (Packaging) in MM01.

Is it right to have two diffrent materials--how can we handle this two material.

Please share your thoughts on this.

Hi, In your case no need of FERT, since you are only sending Packing material, so use only Material VERP.

How i would be handling the return process when customer returns the packaging material and he pays money as rent.
