Hello vivek,
No need to turn off auto-extend option.
It hardly not filling with data. All sap data and indexes resides in SAPSR3 & SAPSR3700
You can turned off autoextend on all data files for more control of space.
But make sure to keep eye on the growth.
The SYSTEM Tablespace datafile will always have the status 'SYSTEM' in the V$DATAFILE view or in dba_data_files.
This is the case with all your databases -- including the Primary for this Standby.
The reason why SYSTEM is status 'SYSTEM' while others can be 'ONLINE' or 'OFFLINE' is that the SYSTEM tablespace can never be 'OFFLINE'. It cannot be manually taken Offline or brought Online.
hope this helps

Hello Vivek
Inorder to avoid tablespace overflows and manual extensions of datafiles, you need to consider activating AUTOEXTEND ON, so that Oracle automatically extends an existing data file if necessary (provided there is sufficient space in the file system):
Hope it helps

Hi vivek,
It highly depends on you either you turn auto extend on or off, it doesnt really matter.
Since system tablespace is more stagnant, you cant turn auto-extend off by allocate sufficient space for it to growth at least 2 months.
