Material Availability Date

Hi Gurus,

I have a requirement where the customer wants the Material Availability Date to default to 15 days before the Delivery Date.

I have tried to maintain the pick/pack time , load time against the shipping point but it does not reflect when I create a new order.

Can someone pl. tell me what other setting needs to be done for this?

Thanks for the link JP. It is useful... I will go through the same.

In my scenario it is a make to order scenario with variant configuration. So will it follow the same process as mentioned in the link you provided...

Yes it should. As any how the system determine scheduling on the bases of backward scheduling. Take into following Org structures into consideration:

- route

- shipping point

- material

- ship-to party

Generally, system will automatically determines the scheduling. If in case, the system is not able to honor the manually entered date by user then system automatically determines the earliest date on which the sales order quantity can be confirmed based on backward scheduling.
