We would like to limit the ability to change tax classification during order create VA01 or order change VA02. Is this possible with standard SAP security? Or, would this be only possible through custom programming?
There is no possibility to limit it trough authorizations in standard. You can implement check on your custom authorization object in user-exit form USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION in include MV45AFZZ.
