MC.5 and other LIS reports are nice reports where you can explore many data needed for business..

MC.5 provides details like stock and value (MAP or standard price * Qty), consignment stock if you have any, total receipts, total issues, last goods issue and goods receipt dates and unplanned issues. It considers all the sloc issues as and unplanned issues/consumption and all 201 issues as planned consumption.

you can explore more by selecting different fields in the layout option.

Hi, Tcode MC.5 is to get valuated stock for storage locations, It is data collection of SIS tables (Log. Information Tables) : S031 & S032.

The Inventory Controlling data is kept in two information structures for technical reasons::

1. S031: Material movement data on monthly basis (weeks ... and so on)

2. S032: Current stocks and stock values.

You can check the settings in SPRO for Info Structure Updates...

Logistics -> General ->Logistics Information System (LIS) -> Logistics Data Warehouse>Updating>Updating Control

OM09

OM02

Also for viewing you have to use the Material Drill down option - then highlight material column - go to settings- characteristics display - key & description. Increase the coulmn width, Settings --> Column width Characteristics

Kindly check SAP notes 581240 also,

Hello,

The problem is that I have different values when compare with some FI reports and the question is if you can compare such data. Can you tell if I can compare this report (LIS) with the report from FI and if yes if there can be differences.

Hi Do not rely on MC.5 report,

Use MB5L to check if the stock balance in MM and FI are consistent? Please also run report RM07MMFI,

If they are consistent please perform a statistical rebuild on S031 and S032. see notes 79083 and 64636.

Kindly check SAP notes 581240

Also see see note 456106 for explanation

In general FI values and MM values should be same. for example MBEW values and MARD values should be same.

For example if you compare FI report like S_P99_41000062 with MC.5, FI report list out all the details related to FI with total stock value but in the case of MC.5, it list down all the inventory related KPIs.

If you have any differences, you need to investigate why it happend? In your case, what difference you have.
