Maintain system parameter table TE057

Hi Experts,

When creating a device with T-code EG01 I face the following error:

Maintain system parameter table TE057

Message no. E9052

Diagnosis

The specified system parameter tables have been read for further processing.

System Response

This table is not maintained.

Procedure

You must maintain this table, in order to carry out processing.

Can you please assit with that ?

Hi,

In EG01 you are creating a Device Category.

In order to do this, you need the "Basic Device categories" (e.g. Meter, transformer, corrector, etc..) configured in the table TE057.

Another late response but thought to post it as it might help someone else.

Go to -

IMG > SAP Utilities > Device Management > Technology > Basic Settings. Maintain the following two config nodes :

- Define Combination of Basic Device Categories

- Define Sort Sequence for Basic Cagegs in Device Cat/Work List.

Hi,

Since there is not much about this error on the internet. I want to add some additional info regarding this error and what helped for me.

The customizing setup was correctly done in English but we had this error when working in another language. The problem is that you cannot maintain multiple languages for this table. What worked out for me, is to login in another language and make a small change in the below customizing nodes and undo that change directly and link it to a transport.

- Define Combination of Basic Device Categories

- Define Sort Sequence for Basic Categs in Device Cat/Work List
