Closing a Rebate Agreement

Dear Friends,

I would like to close the Rebate Agreement. Does the full settlement of rebate agreement technically mean closure of the agreement or do we need to do something else to set the status as closed for the rebate agreement??

HI

For your requirement you can go with the following two solutions

First option is Go to VBO2 and status as B (Agreement released for settlement ) and also make sure that the valid end date is the current date,so that accruals wont get updated in the rebate agreement for that customer.

Second option is go to VBO2 and then you can delete the rebate agreement

For this you can do 2 things:

1. You can simply maintain rebate agreement status as B - Agreement released for settlement in your desired rebate agreement for closure or not in use for future.

2. Delete a rebate agreement:

In the Change rebate agreement screen, enter the number of the rebate agreement that you want to settle or determine the number by using the matchcodes.

Press ENTER .

Select Agreement - Delete.

The system prompts you to confirm the deletion of the rebate agreement.

Press ENTER to delete the rebate agreement.

Result

The rebate agreement receives status C (settlement created).

The system uses a credit memo request to remove the accruals created on the basis of the rebate agreement. You can display the credit memo request for the rebate agreement via Payment - Rebate documents.

Hi

When you carry out a final settlement you can only display the agreement again . No edition is possible . You have to cancel all the settlement docs if you want to use that same agreement again .

But, is there a separate transaction code to close the rebate agreement in sap or final settlement of the rebate agreement would ensure that the agreement is closed??

Final settlement closes the agreement automatically by setting the agreement status to D.

You directly do the final settlement by changing the agreement status to D that's final settlement . Likewise even you could also try the transaction code . But directly you could change the Status in the agreement instead of processing that in another screen.
