Hi all,

I am planning to install SAP on WIndows with help of installation manual .It would be great if some one helps me in providing the prequisites and also your experinces.

Hi Niru,

You can check the installation guide - preparation, everything is stated here.

Below is the overviews:

- Ensure at least 20gb swap

- disable firewall during installation

- disable UAC

- ensure your installation user is under administrator (local or domain). You need to manually create certain user if you don't have domain admin right. Refer to installation guide.

- install jdk.

- set JAVA_HOME in environment variable

- ensure vcredist_x?? is patched

Beside installation guide, you may need at least another 3 sap notes: installation note for your version, add.installation note and db-specific note.

best to download manual and folow it

When you start installation the sapinst programme will guide you throught the installation

with dialogue boxes questions etc.
