Problem with AVC

Dear Gurus,

The user has created several orders in the back date and wanted to confirm the stocks in all the orders.We have tried with V_V2 and the problem is that the system is confirming the order but at the time of delivery system is confirming half of the delivery.

Eg: Created and order for 50 pieces on the 1st of the month and confirming the order a month later system is confirming the stocks but when the delivery is done system is confirming only either half the stocks or less than that.

Unable to understand why the system is behaving like this.Can anyone help in this regard?

The availability check in the sales order is executed with checking rule A

The availability check in the delivery is executed with checking rule B.

If you are getting a different result between the availability check at sales order & at delivery, it suggests a difference in the scope of check. If you access CO09 for the material / plant / checking rule, you will see the relevant scope of check.

It is possible that checking rule B includes some issues that checking rule A is not including that is preventing the full confirmatiion.... You need to check the difference between the two scope of checks.

It could be due to couple of reasons.

In normal circumstances, though system will show the stock in Unrestricted and confirm to sale order, it will not allow you to do PGI

a) if any open DA is there already

b) if any safety stock is maintained in material master

Dear Lakshmipathi,

I will explain the scenario again.

Sales orders are created but there was no stock available at that time. So ATP has failed.

Stocks are uploaded after the SO's are created.

Then we have run V_V2 to do the back order processing.

The result is good for many cases but in some cases, Quantity is confirmed but at the time of delivery, system is not showing the confirmed quantity.

We are not maintaining safety stocks for any material and this is happening in case of 2-3 plants.Where as the system has confirmed and we are able to process the deliveries for one location.

Can you please elaborate what is a DA?
