PI 7.3 with VB and R/3 4.7

Hi,

I have an existing interface which connects to R/3 4.7 via RFC call from Visual Basic.

We would be having PI 7.3.

If i bring PI into scope between R/3 and VB, I assume we can follow these approaches between VB and PI

1. SOAP Adapter

2. RFC Adapter

For using any of these adapters, do i need to do any particular setup from PI or from VB side. What difference does it make by using .NET adapter.

Will it add any value introducing these adapter since VB is already connecting to R/3 via RFC.

Do we have any limitations or any particular setup required.

If i refer to this note

, they are talking about installing decentral adapter engine or using j2se engine. Do i require to use those to interact with VB.

.Net adapter available market?

i would suggest to follow existing approach like using SOAP/RFC adapter.
