CIF - unlocking and activation of queues

Former Member

I am using APO V5.1.

I use transaction SMQ1 to check on outbound queues from APO back to ECC.

I have these questions:

1. Whst is the difference between 'unlocking' and 'activation' of a queue?

2. If the queues are in READY status, but are not actually being processed, what action needs to be taken?

Thanks for any help with this...

Hi

Unlocking means starting CIF Queues between R/3 and APO. You may want to "lock" (i.e. stop) CIF queues bacause of various reasons like live cache check etc. Activation means changing the status of a queue (may be in ready status) to active or running status. There is an icon to activate - you can select the LUW or the queue to activate.

If the queue can be ready status, then that needs to be activated. Also if a no of queues remain in this status, troubleshooting should be done.

Thanks,
