Alert Rule Configuration

The scenario is, On the sender side we have IDoc adapter and on receiver side we have HTTP Adapter. Do we need need Alert rule for the Adapter Engine in this scenario or just the Integration Engine Alert Rule is fine?

Please help with the information

IE alert rule enough ,even though if you define AE alert rule no use because IDoc/HTTP adapter part of IE.

that is not need to create rule in AE ..
