Mantaining MS WORD Hyperlinks in DMS

Hi,

We have configured SAP DMS into our SAP System in order to manage Microsoft Office documents among other type of documentation.

After the implementation, weu2019ve realized that SAP DMS seems to not offer a vital functionality for us; the hyperlink functionality from inside the original of a DMS document to another DMS document (e.g. A Microsoft Word file with a hyperlink pointing to a DMS Document Info Record or pointing to another Microsoft Word file that belongs to that DMS Document as an original).

Are we mistaken or SAP DMS is very limited in this kind of purposes?

Is there a standard way to generate some kind of URL to a DMS Document that always points to its last version? Even if it changes?

In case of a negative response to these questions, is there another SAP solution which we could use to fulfill our requirements?

Hi

I guess maintaining URL of one document in another is not possible.

but still please look into the BAPI(C_DESK_DOC_GET_URL) to get the URL of the attached originals.

Please let me know if you need help regarding this BAPI.
