Dear SDN-Experts,
When trying to open MDM iViews, short dumps occur. For instance, navigating to tab 'Products': "Error occurred: class java.lang.NullPointerException"
Could you please advice since this would probably be a configuration issue?
Configuration:
- SAP SRM 7.02
- SAP MDM Catalog 7.1
- EP NetWeaver 7.0
We have installed (via JSPM) the following components on EP:
- BPSRM05_0-20004365.SCA
- BPMDMA71005_39-20003760.SCA
- BPMDMT71005_39-20003759.SCA
- BPSRMMDM05_0-20005690.SCA
- MDMJ71007_255-10006189.SCA
- MDMCONNECTOR07_29-20008055.SCA
We have refreshed the service "com.sap.mdm.uwl":
- (System administration > support > portal runtime > application console)
The state Portal Application Name is started.
We have created MDM Connector:
- (System administration > System Configuration > Portal_Content > SystemLandscape)
The system alias, permissions and connection test are correct.
Finally, the OIC Subscribers' portal role was assigned to the user.
Kind Regards,
Ludovic

Hi,
thanks for your support.
Actually, by copying the standard to our own iView then changing some settings like system alias, repository name, ..., it works better. For instance, within the Business Package, the standard refers to tables MDM_MATERIALS or MDM_EMPLOYEES which don't exist within our repository. Just investigating.
Any idea about this difference between the SRM-MDM standard & the MDM Application iViews? perhaps, not relevant for our scenario?!?
Kind Regards,
Ludovic

Hello,
For MDM and EP to work, they must be on the same Version
for example if MDM is 7.1, then EP must be on 7.1 too
corresponding the JAVA version will also depend on the Version.
The basis guy who downloaded these components will the contact person in such scenarios
Regards,
Abhishek
