SSCR keys

Hi experts,

My question must be basic for you, but I never do it before :

I need to request a new Register SAP Objects in the Support SAP Portal. (for example I need to request the register object R3TR | DOMA | RSWBTYP to implement the SAP note 1061607).

The installation of a new SSCR key is a free or paying service ?

Thanks for your help about this point,

Tempka

Hi,

if can have developers or objects registred, in the case of developer keys, i believe you have a certain number in your company SAP contract, if you exceed that number i believe SAP will charge extra.

to confirm that verify your company licensing contract with sap.

Thanks for your responses.

Another additionnal question :

Is it a good practice to register SSCR keys in order to change standard SAP objects ?

Example :

To be able to create workbooks in SAP BI 7.0, I have two solutions :

1. Make an upgrade of support packages (SP12 --> SP14)

2. Register SSCR keys, then apply corrective instructions of an OSS note (n° 1061607)

What are the inconvenients to apply the solution 2 against the first one ?

Thanks a lot for your advice.

Hello,

If your business and functional team is OK with upgrade support pack, then yes you can upgrade the SP. But quicker solution is apply the note with registering the key (if you have to apply the note, then YES its good practice to apply the note with register key.

I would suggest to apply the note with SSCR key.

Hi Abhilash,

Yes, we have got one.

So, register SAP objects with this S-UserID in order to benefit of new functionnalities doesn't imply additional license costs ?

Hi Tempka,

No Additional License Cost for registering Objects in SAP Market place for SSCR keys, as long as it's SAP standard Objects.

You are Registering Object for the Program or Report or Table for system which already has license.

Thanks,
