TO check SO number with Shipment number in VBFA.

i have the shipmnt number and want to get the repective SO number in VBFA.

HOw i cn do this.

Hi,

You can also try the table VTFA which has the document flow entries for the shipment and the subsequent functionalities.

But as already mentioned by many, no harm in using just VBFA also.

Dear Monty,

This can be achieved in two steps :

Step 1

From the input of shipment number at the field "Follow on Doc" in VBFA table, you will get outbound delivery document numbers as the preceding docs (with preceding doc category - J, delivery).

Remember one shipment can have multiple delivery documents according to the scenario.

Step 2

Further you can track "sales orders" through these delivery documents via table - VBFA.

To track the sales orders, again input above delivery docs (found at step 1) as at the field "Follow on Doc" in VBFA table, You will then get the respective sales orders associated as preceding documents (with preceding doc category - C, Orders).

If you have shipment number then

Shipment Number = VBFA-VBELN (provide your shipment number)

Item Number = VBFA-POSNN

Doc Category as 8 = VBFA-VBTYP_N

by this you can get

Delivery doc number = VBFA-VBELV

Delv Doc item = VBFA-POSNV

Note this number.

Provide Delivery doc number & Item from above in VBFA-VBELV & VBFA-POSNV

In other, provide Subs.doc.categ. as Q = VBFA-VBTYP_N

You will get Transfer Order Number = VBFA-VBELN, for a shipment doc through delivery doc number.

Hi Monty,

To get desired info you need to access the table in below order:

1) Go to table VTTP Shipment Item and pass your shipment number and take the respective delivery number of it.

2)Go to table LIPS and pass the delivery number determined in step 1 and retrieve Reference doc.(VGBEL) for getting the sales order. Alternatively you can also use VBFA here.

GOTO SE11 AND GIVE THE VBFA and excusable the table enter the your shipment number in field of following -on-doc. ofter excuate , it comes for the delivery number , it is not possible to see the order number at VBFA tables

normaly goto vt02n and enter the your shipment number and click on the display document flow icon

ofter it will come order number
