view/purge SE16N_CD_DATA

Hello,

I have noticed that deleted data with se16n transaction is stored in SE16N_CD_DATA.

1. Is this deletion history cleaned automatically after a period?

2. How can I view the data deleted in our tables?

3. How can I purge manually this history table?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi,

1. Is this deletion history cleaned automatically after a period?

No, this is standard SAP Table and there is no such field as Data expiry date.

2. How can I view the data deleted in our tables?

You will only get time stamp, table, client and user name for the deleted data from table. Not actual data.(SE16N_CD_DATA,SE16N_CD_KEY)

3. How can I purge manually this history table?

I don't see reason for doing this. But you can try archive/delete option or if you dont need at all, you can do it from DB level, with help from DBA's.

The reason for doing that is that this table can grow a lot and I would like to delete

old log entries.

1. Therefore I would like to know which report does SAP recommend to clean this table?

It is like SAP auditing information, we clean it as it can consume big volumes.

2. Is there also a way to disable this deletion logging configuration?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

HI,

You can use archiving object CA_SE16NCD to archive and then delete for the changes name in SE16.

Please check Note 1360465 - SE16N: Archiving object CA_SE16NCD for more details on it.

Hello,

Following these notes.

I have found an obsolete report that

enable viewing the logs before deleting

RKSE16N_CD_SHOW_DELETE.

Thanks for your answers.
