doc. type "FOL" isn't in my system

Hi to all,

i read in other topics ( for example [This|] )

that i have to use document type "FOL" to create FOLDER documents.

This document type should be a standard type but i don't find in my ECC 6 (ehp 4).

Do i need to create it manually?

thanks

Alessandro

Hi alessandro,

You need to create them manually using CV11 transaction code.

Ok,

but in other topics people say "Use the standard document type "FOL" you don't have to define an additional document type for folders"

I don't found this standard doc. type "FOL" , so it seems that i need to define manually a new document type... or my Sap ecc 6 is missing standard doc types...??

Typically, document types like FOL,YPD, etc are shipped as standard doc types. Do check incase the other document types are available, else there is no harm creating them if they do not exist/have been deleted(as in your case).

Hi Alessandro,

Refer to the best practice document from SAP which talks about creating document type 'FOL' for folder structure.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/69394827/H24-BB-ConfigGuide-EN-DE-1

Hope this clears your doubt.
