Brtools upgrade issue from 7.00 to 7.20

Dear Experts

I am trying to upgrade brtools from 7.00 to 7.20.

I am successfull uncar brtools upgrade file in exe folder and making system running.

But when i am checking brtools version. It show me the old brtools version.

So please help me to solve this issue.

Hi Darshan,

Please ensure /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<NR>/exe also has updated version of brtools.

post copying of new brtools, you need to run

./saproot.sh <SID>

to have proper permissions to the binaries.

I had tried all what ever you suggest but it is not working. Is it work after upgrade the kernel of the system.

Right now the system kernel is 137. Shall i upgrade the kernel so after the upgrade the kernel will brtools also will get upgrade.

Please ensure the SAR file is extracted into /sapmnt/<SID>/exe and make sure /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run points to /sapmnt/<SID>/exe.

Also follow the instructions from Deepak to run saproot.sh.

- What operating system?

- Which "exe" folder are you copying the files to?
