Hi, I need to check if the site was selected BI-JAVA option in the installation. how?

Hi,

If you just want to check if BI-JAVA was installed on your instance,then you can goto http://<host>:5nn00/ and goto SYSTEM Information and you can find out BI-Java related components.

Or

Check the Usage Types i.e. what all components are installed on the Java engine. Go to the url http://hostname:port/utl/UsageTypesInfo

Check the same from OS level Go to path /usr/sap/SID/config, and open the file usagetypes.properties, the first line USAGE= in this file will tell you what all usage types are installed

Example : USAGE=BI-Java\:EPC\:EP

AND If its not present and you want to install it:

To add BI-Java,EP and EP-Core Usage types according to below note after upgrading J2EE stack and to complete the BI configuration Template.

HI, install the components of BI. Now when I try to run the Web Bex Analyzer in the portal displays the following error message:

Hi Eli,

WebTemplate 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN is not active in your system. To Activate it, go to transaction RSA1 -> Business Content -> Object Types -> BEx Web Template and install the "0ANALYSIS_PATTERN"

Below link has steps for BI and Portal bex Integration and also has steps to activate 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN (Search for "Activate BI Templates in RSA1", please check activate the template and try again

Going by your error posted, there is patch mismatch between components.Please check and install correct patch.

Hi, I solved problem apply the following steps:

1. transaction RSA1

2. Business Content

3. SAP Transport -> Object types

4. BEx Web Template (BTMP)

5. Search for 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN and all 0* objects

6. Select + Activate

1). As Siva suggsted, you can check it in SAPInst installation log?

2). In index.html --> goto System Information and if you have below components, then You have BI-JAVA installed

BI-BASE-S u2013 Base Services

BI-WEBAPP u2013 Web Applications

BI-IBC u2013 Information Broadcasting

BI-REPPLAN - Reporting and Planning

BI-WDALV u2013 WebDynPro ALV

BI-MMR - Meta Model Repository

BI-UDI - Universal Data Integration

3). You can login to portal -->User Management --> and try to assign BI roles to your ID and you should see BI Broadcaster, BI Analysis Tab in the portal which confirms BI Java installed in Portal.

Looks like you have BI-JAVA installed in the portal. Can you see below components in your Portal --> System Information page ?

Hi Eli,

If you need complete BI-Java installed on your portal, then You need to install other components also. Is there any reason why other components left during the installation or its requirement ?

Yes, You can install it thru JSPM. However, you need to select Additional USAGE Types for the Newer Components in JSPM. DOnwload the missing components and XML from the Market place and place it in EPS/IN (without XML file sometimes, Additional Usage type will not show the components).
