Material and export licenses

How is GTS matching material in the material list to the materials in the export licenses?

In the company's material master the material names consist of a material name and a revision state, for example ComputerRev1.

In the export license this material is only listed as Computer. Will (standard) GTS recognise that the material ComputerRev1 is in fact covered by the export license for Computer ? Is a 100% match needed, or will the kind of match described above be sufficient?

Hi Johlin,

It's usual to enter in the Export Licence all Products for which the Licence is valid. However, it is possible to configure so that the "Control Class" (which you can assign to many Products) can be entered instead.

No, the system doesn't do "fuzzy searches" to link "Computer" with "ComputerRev1" - sorry to disappoint!
