PRD world service failed to start in MSCS

hi,

i just restart my a node and all services shifted to B node but only one service failed to start that is Oracle PRD.world failed to start than i reward back but same problem come on Anode. when i start from SAP console in active node instance 20 give me error

this is SAP production server please reply me urgent. i want to solve this issue

Hi,

There are several reasons for the TNS-12518 errors, however this problem

usually can related to insufficient allocaction of memory resources.

This issue is described further in Metalink note 371983.1

Additionaly you can see if some error was reported on Windows Event

Viewer near the time when the incident happened.

Also, check oracle listener.log as it will contain more information.

You can to connect using Oracle sqlplus / as sysdba and check the

resources using the command :

select * from v$resource_limit;

and observe the amount of sessions/processes. Compare this to the

value of sessions/processes you have set, possibly it is too low.
