Messages not being picked up by PI from MQ server.

Hi,

Is there any alert mechanism in PI when SAP PI does not picks the messages from MQ server?

Correct me if i am wrong, Alerts can be triggered when there is an message flow in SAP PI. but in my scenario the messages are not being picked by PI from MQ server.

When I restart the JMS communication channel all the messages were picked up by PI from MQ server.

Can anyone explain me why this happens? And any Alert mechanism to this situation??

What is the status about JMS channel? if it is error status then you can trigger alert else not possible.

Better to schedule a adapter to run at specific time interval, if you bussiness wants always active then put in active mode always.Some times cache issues causes trobule hence we need restart the channel,if this probelm occuring repeatedly then apply latest service pack.

HI,

Is message not being picked up due to PI channel's intermittent stop issue? If yes then you can check for SeeBurger application , if they are running properly or not.You can try doing cache refresh every now and then.
