Dear Gurus,
May you please help me to understad the BDLS, we have upgraded our ecc 5.0 to 6.0 and run the bdls in test/dev clients of ecc with new logical systems, our ecc was connected to crm7.0, after upgradation we had connectivity problem with crm, do we need to run the BDLS even in crm system?
(since crm we did not upgraded and it is already 7.0 version and the logical systems are same)
Thanks,
K
Hi,
Just one check. After your ECC upgrade from 5.0 to 6.0 version , have you unlocked the users?
Locked users , might cause connection error via RFC,JCO. Pls verify respetcive user and check RFC and JCO connections with CRM system again.
Thanks,
Rupali

Hello Kesava,
BDLS works by scanning only all transparent tables and checking all fields (unless you explicitly restrict the tables range). Domain LOGSYS or EDI_PARNUM it is checked for the old Log. Sys. Name and replaced by the new Logical System Name.
Unless you change Logical system in ECC during upgrade, it doesn't require BDLS.
do we need to run the BDLS even in crm system?
Normally, it doesn't require to run BDLS in connection system. However, If there is change in Logical System of ECC and if you are using logical system of ECC in CRM, then Yes, you can run BDLS for ECC in CRM.
Also, what kind of connectivity problem you have?
Did you Check you RFC connections, JCO's?
Regards,
Arjun
