SAP SCM 5.10 with F&R - Update SAP Netweaver 7.0 to 7.0 EHP2 (702)

Hello Experts,

almost all of our SAP-System has now SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP2 (702) Abap-Stack.

The last system that we will update is a "SAP SCM 5.10" with the F&R component. The mean software level is:

SAP Basis 700 SP23

SCM SCEMSRV 5.1 SP16

SCM 5.1 SP15

FRP-Kernel SP15

To update the SAP-Neatweaver componet to EHP2 have we do an upgrade for the SCM-Server or the SCM itself and what will be now the target relase?

In the documentation is this not realy clear for us.

Hi Thomas,

have a look to the Product Availability Matrix (PAM) that you can reach via SAP Service Marketplace. Path: http://service.sap.com/pam-staging --> Solution Details --> Release & Component Information --> Release Information --> Product Availability Matrix --> Field: Search in PAM: type in "F&R" --> Enter --> Click on software product version "SAP F&R 5.1"

In the line 'Add-on Product Version for...' you find the comment: ... SAP EHP2 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 ( Application Server Java )...

finally for NW 7.0 EHP2 you need to upgrade F&R to F&R 5.1 on SCM 7.0 EHP1.

For details, have a look to the SAP Installation and Upgrade information.

Path: SAP Service Marketplace on http://service.sap.com/ --> SAP Support Portal --> Software Download Center --> Software Downloads --> Software Download Center --> 2nd item: Installation & Upgrades --> A - Z Index --> select letter 'F' --> SAP F&R (option: SAP Forecasting & Replenishment for Retail (for use with SAP merchandising software))

Options; SCM release + EHP; NW release + EHP

F&R 5.1;SCM 2007 (= SCM5.1); NW 7.0

F&R 5.1 on SCM 7.0; SCM 7.0; NW 7.0 EHP1 or NW 7.3

F&R 5.1 on SCM 7.0; SCM 7.0 EHP1; NW 7.0 EHP2

The PAM was my first point, but it was not realy clear for us.

So we want to the following ugrade:

F&R 5.1 on SCM 7.0; SCM 7.0 EHP1; NW 7.0 EHP2

Some small comments,

- I heard the EHP upgrade of SCM and NW is done in one step

- compared to F&R 5.1 on SCM 2007 there is no new functionality in F&R 5.1 on SCM 7.0 + therefore no benefit from application point of view

thank you for this information.

We are not unhappy in our case, that there is no benefit from application point of view.

So we are looking forward that the upgrade will work fine. also for the application.
