Hi All,
We are going to upgrade the stack of PI7.1 from SP08 -> SP13. I wanted to know:
1) Are there any side effects of the upgrade?
2) Advantages and impact of the upgrade?
Hoping for valuable inputs...
Thanks
Amit Srivastava
Hi Amit,
Service Pack upgrade 99% times never effects anything, your exisitng interfaces would work as expected.
Latest service pack will have bug free compare to older SP but you cant find any major changes in product .

Hi Amit,
normally we have the detail in [SAP help PI 7.1 - Release Notes...|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/61/8c3842bb58f83ae10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm]... but here info is until SP08...
Else in service Market place under this [http://service.sap.com/maintenancenwpi71|http://service.sap.com/maintenancenwpi71], you can have the SP Guide for SPS13, but I've the feeling info is very light. On the same page, try the link "Support Package Stack Information" (in my case, I cannot expand info on a specific SP).
You can try also this [http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks|http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks].

Hi
You can also check the Side Effect Report for the respective SAP Stack
Following is the path

usually SP upgrades shouldnt result in any regression testing.
But go throught the release notes to see if anything specific is mentioned.
Also its a good practice to conduct a series of health checks on your complex interfaces esp the one's using multimapping, ICO and BPM
