Option to disable Create Supplier

Hi,

We have a requirement where we need to disable supplier creation through the supplier management menu in CLM. The suppliers will be replicated from ECC to CLM. So, we have successfully disabled the Create Supplier option.

However, when we go to the Search screen of suppliers through Supplier Management>Suppliers>Search Supplier, the Search page opens with a 'New' button at the bottom. This 'New' button again allows the creation of supplier.

My question is, is there any way the 'New' button can be disabled or hidden in this page?

Hi

Since it is a generic menu, trying to disable New would have impact on multiple instances within the application. I would suggest achiving the same through scripting. You can create a Document Lifecycle Event script with Class : Supplier (607), target as Created and throw an exception. this would make sure no user would be able to create a supplier in e sourcing system.
