Hello !
Is there a solution to hide WebI icon on home page of "BI Launch pad", in
"My applications" area, for users having only right to view/refresh docs ?
We don't want them to be able to start Webi applet since they don't have rights to create or modify a report.
Is it possible ? How ?
I have tested many combinations of rights and I don't find any solution.
Thanks,
Regards,
Steve
Hi Steve,
I would recommend you to perform the following steps:
1. Login to CMC with an Administrator account.
2. Navigate to Applications >> Web Intelligence >> Right Click >> User security
3. Add/Select the corresponding User or a group for which you want to restrict the access from the Add principal list.
4. Go to Assign Security >> Adavanced Tab >> Add/remove rights
5. Deny the right "Logon to Web intelligence" and click on Ok.
Test the issue again and I hope it resolves your query.

Hi Nakul !
Thanks for your answer.
Sorry for the delay to reply.
I've tested your solution. WebI icon is not displayed but...
When I click on a report on which my user has "full control" (folder & report), and my user having all rights on WebI application except "login", I've got the "eternal blue moving gauge" like when WebI applet is starting.
(It ends with a session timeout error).
Any idea ?
Regards,
Steve.
