Program SAPLBDMON - SAP BW

Anyone know what makes SAPLBDMON program in SAP BW?

It is running directly on the environment and is affecting the performance of the database.

I'm having trouble understanding what it is.

Can anyone help me?

Hi,

the report SAPLBDMON belogns to BC-MID-ALE component in SAP.

So, I believe that is it related to IDOC monitoring because it has the MON in the name.

if you go to RZ21 -> Methods - Method defenition - Display overview and

search for IDOC, you do find that the data collector method for IDOC is ALE_IDC_COLLECT.

This methos is started in background as per the default configuration, so it should be started every hour by the CCMS background job.

Try to disable this method and check if the problem persist. If the IDOC monitoring is not relevant for you, try to disable it for test purpose.

To disable the method you should disable the option "Execute method immediately..." in the tab Control and in tab Relese unset the option "Data Collection method".

After this you have to restart the system or reset the segment in RZ21.

To reset the segment:

RZ21 > Topology > Segment Overview > switch to change mode > select the local instance segment > press a

button 'Reset Segment in "WARMUP" Status'.

You can do this test to check if the problem is really the IDOC monitor.
