The following message appears when i get in to RR screen for an inspection lot.

But when i look into the master data there is no specific setting for inspection with physical sample.

No physical sample could be determined for the target inspection lot

Message no. QECOPY021

What is the issue that causes this message to be created in RR.

Are you using QE71 or QE51n ?

have you tried through QA32-->result recording .

when i try to do RR via qa32 it appears. what is that indicates , i am not going via qe11 or something.

It sounds like you have your inspection plan header selected to use physical samples. But when the lot was created no physical samples were created for the lot. Possibly you changed the inpsection plan later, or an incorrect sampling procedures and sample drawing procedure were used in the plan such that no physical samples were created.

Checked in QPR3 for the existence of physical samples.

If you weren't planning on using physical samples, edit the inspection plan header and remove the physical samples requirement.
