MDM Subsitutes

Dear MDM Experts,

We have a scenario (SRM-MDM) where the duplicates materials are also uploaded into the MDM catalog. But there is a customer field to say a give material is duplicate and the correct material to use will be different and has the link to the correct material.

The requirement is that, when ever a user chooses a duplicated material from catalog, we would like our MDM to find that, this is a duplicate material and propose the correct material instead of duplicated material.

Please advice on how to get this in the system. Any inputs is highly appreciated and very helpful.

Hello,

You will have to use the MDM Strategy and use the Same in your workflow,

The logic will be to find the duplicate, if duplicate are found, throw and error.

For notification you can use the JAVA API's for customization.
