Should Password expire for SAP Application user ids in Oracle Database ?

Hi,

We are currently on Netweaver 7.01 with SAP Kernel Release 701 patch level 150.

OS : Unix AIX 6.1

DB : Oracle 10.2.0.4

We are planning to upgrade oracle to 11.2.0.3

Will it be fine to set the password expiry policy for the list of users

specified at Oracle Database level?

OR

Should the password never expire for all these user ids ?

1) OPS$<sid>adm

2) OPS$ora<sid>

3) SAP<sid>DB

4) SAP<sid>

5) SAPDAT

6) SAPSR3

7) SAPSR3DB

Passwords for these should NEVER expire.

Hi,

You need to ensure that password never expires for the list of users mentioned. Else your normal operations might get impacted.
