Do not go ahead with the installation . Just stop here .

Stop the SAP application if its running .

Upgrade the Oracle software to patch set 10.2.0.5 (which is the latest and the last patch set release for 10.2)

Follow the SAP notes mentioned below for applying the patch set and the required bundled patches.

871735 Current patch set for Oracle 10.2.0

1431752 Oracle 10.2.0: Patches/Patch Collections for 10.2.0.5

1654734 Ext Support contract required for 10.2.0.5 PSU, SBP & Client

Once done , restart from the point your installation was stopped.

Hi,

Is the system up ? sounds like basic communication failure.

try restarting the system in the SAPMMC / UNIX alias topsap/startsap and try repeating the phase.

Hi Amol,

If you can login to your system using SAPGui, please verify that whether you can login to client 000 using DDIC user.

Also check in ST22 or SM21 to find more details on the error message on which report its trying to run. Share the logs of the report.

Hi Amol,

Just for your information, SAP has stopped supported for Oracle versions lower than 10.2.0.5.

Best alternative is to install Oracle 11.2.0.2.
