Redistribution workload is basically used to reassign the responsibility of the sourcing object i.e. shopping cart appearing in the sourcing cockpit to a responsible purchaser or purchasing group.
Redistribution of the workload happens two ways:
1. Manually: You as a purchaser or purchasing manager can manually reassign the sourcing object to a different purchaser when the responisible purchase is say on vacation.
2. Automatically: You have made some changes to the purchasing responsibility in your organization structure. Now, the sourcing object appearing the sourcing cockpit needs to be redistributed as per the updated responsibility rules. Then, you can use the 'redistribute workload' button to get the sourcing objects assigned automatically.
