BOBJ - Data Fetch directly from R3

Dear All

We have installed BOBJ Edge 3.1. We would like to create universe / data source diretly connecting to R3 database. We do not have SAP BW.

Kindly guide how to do that. If any intermediate database has to be created what would be the feasible method to pull data from our production R3 data.

Hi,

This topic has been covered lots of times before (try a search) but the conclusion is:

Use Crystal Reports, with 'Integration Kit for SAP Solutions', and use the 'ABAP Tables and Functions' driver

or

Use Data Federator, which is an Enterprise Information Management product.

p.s. there is no WebI on ECC option as standard, until BI4.0 FP03
