Error in account assignment for item

Hello Experts.

I am trying to create SC for different cost center. But I am not able to do so, I am getting error as "Error in account assignment for item XX"

SPRO setting for GL account and cost element is established, in R/3 cost center and cost element is created for controlling area.

But I am finding this problem only when I create SC for different cost center.

Please help me.

Check the organizational attributes for the user. Also please make sure the cost center and percentage is distributed correctly.

Hello All,

I have done some analysis on this. Say I have allowed 4 product category to purchasing group ( Say AP, AP,AP and AP). If I select AP I don't get above subject error, If I select AP or AP I am getting this error. Why this kind of behavior, Did I miss any settings

As per my knowledge ( SR version) under account assignment node we will do Cost element and product catagory setting. Thats all and cost center will pick by system by default as per setting done in (POMADE_BP) but why this error depending upon product catagory?

can anyone help me on this.

How many line item you have in SC? Are you trying to distibute the cost to different cost centers?

check which company code are you creating the SC for.. it gives the error if it does not match with cost elements company code

All those setting is in place, still I am getting the same problem,

1) When I create SC for different cost center

2) When I create SC for Internal Order.
