Error "Backend maybe down or Search BAPI not found in repository

Hi,

I am setting up the new 2.0 version of the Sybase Mobile Solution.

I generated all objects on Netweaver Mobile 7.1 and am now about to generate the ESDMA. Here it gives me the error "Backend ABC_TRUSTED maybe down or Search BAPI CRM_SRV_MOBILE_SEARCH not found in local repository."

Any idea what could be missing? I followed the instructions from the installation guide and to me it seems the connection is fine.

Your RFC connection name is too long. Try something shorter without _trusted.

You have also not assigned the Distribution model (DMSWCV) in the esdma application setup wizard.

Refer configuration guide section 5.2 (Configuring the Mobile Sales Application) step by step.

Hi Benedikt ,

This error occurs when ESDMA is unable to locate the Data objects Bapi wrappers or Backend search function modules. You may have not assigned or have wrongly assigned the Backend RFCs for the data objects/ Backend search FMs.

It can also occur when the backend system is not reachable via the configured RFC. try doing a remote logon to the backend system.

Refer to the configuration guide section 3.1.4.1 for RFC creation & section 5.2 for setting RFC for your objects.
