Hi ,

We are planning for 11.2.0.2 but now 11.2.0.3 is released in Dec ,

Whats the difference in 11.2.0.3 and which is the preffered one ?

As per the official [Upgrade/Installation Guide|https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000333942010E] , existing proffered Oracle release is Oracle 11.2.0.3. Please refer this guide to get more detailed information. README file of every Oracle Patchset contain detailed information about the corrections/features delivered in Oracle patchset. You can go through it to find the difference between two Oracle Patchset/releases.

Oracle 11.2.0.3 is the PatchSet-2 of Oracle Database 11g Release 2. (refer SAP Note 1431799)

Oracle 11.2.0.2 is the PatchSet-1 of Oracle Database 11g Release 2.

Oracle Patch sent is a MAJOR collection of CORRECTIONS (which were identified and corrected on top of previous oracle release, e.g. oracle 11.2.0.2 ) + New Oracle features/enhancements. Please refer topic 19 of SAP Note 592393 - FAQ: Oracle to get more detailed information.

Above such Oracle Patchset , SAP Bundle patches (which contains relevant PSU (Patchset Updates) , merge fixes , oracle patches) are required to apply to address the bugs/feature above oracle patchsets.

11.2.0.2 -- Oracle 11.2 base version with patchset 2

11.2.0.3 -- Oracle 11.2 base version with patchse 3

Please check in http://service.sap.com/pam if 11.2.0.3 is supported for the SAP solution you want to install.

If it supports then you can go ahead with the latest 11.2.0.3 , make sure you read the following SAP notes
