tape_copy_command

Hi,

We are using Netbackup for taking the backup.In the init<sid>.sap we are using tape_copy_command=cpio. Our os is Solaris. Please confirm whether we can take the backup using Netbackup with tape_copy_command=dd.

In theory yes. Nothing indicates that it might not work. If I was you I would do a test run on a sandbox system.

Read the info available in help.sap.com and remember to keep an eye in the recommended parameters.

dd and cpio are 2 different OS utilities for taking backup.

Yes, you can take backup with tape_copy_cmd = dd using Netbackup.
