Check the delivery item categories (TCode 0VLP) getting determined at delivery doc.

There check the setting for packing.

I hope you are using VL31N for inbound delivery.

Further you can refer SAP Note (Program error) 1050944 - GR for inbound delivery using inventory mgmt as of ECC 6.00
