"sp02 -0640:not connected"

Hi,

I am doing Oracle Upgrade from 10.2 to 11.2 on Suse Linux .

I installed Oracle 11.2 and ran the pre upgrade scripts also.

But while running DBUA.sh i get an error that

For Input String :"sp02 -0640:not connected".

How should i proceed to solve this issue.

Have you ever checked the document "DBUA Fails With Error "SP2-0640 Not Connected" ID 1384814.1" on metalink.oracle.com?

Seem like you hit the issue, in the note.

Please check if the database is up and running and if it is possible to connect to the database.
