Hi

I would like to have some documents where i can start configuring and build my skills in SRM workflow. I tired googling and searched in SDN but could not get the right link though i was referred to help.sap.com. Please can some document links be posted where I can start building workflow from start and test it?

Hi Prahbu,

I think the best place to start (whether you are using SRM or ECC) is the SAP Tutorial.

Thanks susan. But how different it is from the SRM workflow. just want to understand if a normal workflow config done in ECC is different from SRM workflow? Bascially i'm on SRM 5.0

Hi Prabhu,

Well, Workflow is Workflow. There are differences between SRM and ECC but the basics, the concepts around Business Objects, the Workflow Builder, tasks, templates, events, and agents - those are all the same.

You could also purchase a book - http://www.sap-press.com/products/Practical-Workflow-for-SAP-%282nd-Edition%29.html - for which I do not receive any monetary compensation. There is a hefty chapter on SRM which you may also find helpful.

Good luck!

thanks once again susan. I will my hands on that book. Before i could get a copy i wish to know what difference it makes between the workflow in ECC and SRM 5.0. i tried capturing the topics on it but no luck. if you can give a heads-up on it I can dig deeper into it, just a means of a pointer.
